Audit & Assurance at Grant Thornton

Within Audit and Assurance you work for large SME and small corporate clients within a wide variety of industries. As a starter you are immediately part of the team, you have customer contact and you visit about 15 to 20 customers on an annual basis. Some of these customers may be internationally oriented. You are involved in the preparation, execution and completion of assignments. You perform substantive and systems audit procedures and you are responsible for performing financial assessments and related checks on financial statements items. Working together with your direct colleagues is essential, but you also form a multidisciplinary team with tax specialists and other specialists.

Specialist Advisory Services at Grant Thornton

Corporate Finance, Transaction Advisory Services, Forensic & Investigation Services and Restructuring & Performance Improvement. This is a selection of our specialist services, which are mainly provided from Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Participating in valuation assignments or supporting sales/purchase projects are examples of activities that you perform as a starter. You can also be involved in financial due diligence investigations in merger and acquisition processes, but also in projects to optimize the cost structure and profit margins. There is plenty of intensive contact with colleagues from other disciplines, other branches and with the international network.

Traineegame

Have you recently graduated and started working with us? Then you may be eligible for the Grant Thornton Trainee Game. During this game you take on the role of an accountant or advisor and provide a fictitious customer with advice. A game aimed at developing your technical knowledge and your skills. The purpose of the Grant Thornton Traineegame is also to provide you with an extensive acquaintance with our organization. This means that you visit all our branches and meet colleagues from the various practices and from the different locations.

Education

Development is important. Together with your manager, you determine which courses fit your development objectives and how your training plan is implemented.

Multidisciplinary collaboration

With us you work in teams. This is not limited to the branches, but extends over the various services. For example, accountants, tax specialists and consultants work together. Depending on your position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate internationally at the Amsterdam and Rotterdam offices.
