Dear ESV-members,
As people say each year, this year has flown by. The holidays are here again and we’re looking forward to NYE. Unfortunately, these holidays will have to be celebrated in a different form than we were used to. Nevertheless, we look forward to the holidays.
2021 was all about adjusting. This meant organising activities online at the last moment, but also cancelling activities that could not take place in the end. Luckily we have been able to celebrate a great introduction week as we were used to in previous years. This gave first years students and second years students the possibility to get to know the ESV. Second years students, who started out with an online study in the first year, could finally get to know Nijmegen physically.
2022 will (hopefully) be all about organising many activities. As is the case each year, many activities are planned. We hope to be able to go on a study trip and a city trip and also to be able to finally organise the lustrum prom which has been postponed multiple times. Furthermore, we hope that the ESV room can be opened as usual again, now that it has been closed the past week. Either way there is a lot of uncertainty concerning coming year, but we have learned in 2021 that we can cope with this.
The XXXIIIrd board wishes all members of the ESV a merry Christmas and a healthy and happy 2022. We hope that we will be able to make a lot of beautiful memories with one another in 2022!
On behalf of the XXXIIIrd board of the ESV,
Eline Meiberg
Chairman 2021-2022
