Dear ESV’ers,  

This year it will be my honor to be the secretary within the XXXIIth board of the ESV Nijmegen. I look forward to a fun, but challenging year with both the members and my fellow board members! 

My name is Sophie van Lith, I am 21 years old. I was born and raised in Nijmegen, so our beautiful town has been my home for over 21 years. That means that I can go to both my parents and my room during the week. Currently I am a third year student of Economics and Business Economics, specializing in International Economics & Policy. Over the past two years I have been actively involved in several committees of the ESV. For example, in my first year I started at the activities committee where I learned a lot, but also had a lot of fun. Last year I focused more on the formal field within a number of committees. I was a member of the conference committee and I was on the NCE committee for more than six months as one of the interns. I was also honored to organize the lustrum, but unfortunately the lustrum week was canceled last year due to COVID-19. All in all, I learned a lot through the different committees and got to know a lot of great people. I have always felt welcome at both the activities and in the ESV-room! 

As secretary I am responsible for contact with the university and the other study associations. I will also always be available for members to answer questions. You can of course do this by email, but you can also approach me if you meet me! I also write the minutes for the board meetings and general members meetings. 

Be sure to visit the ESV-room and I would also love to see you at one of our activities!
