Ski Trip 2024
An unforgettable winter sports adventure unfolded for the members of the ESV in the rugged landscape of Risoul. The trip started with a long bus ride, during which the members enthusiastically crossed the winding roads of the beautiful Alps. It was a taste of the challenges that awaited them both on and off the slopes.
After a steep climb, the group reached beautiful Les Melezes, which served as their base for the coming days. Not only skiing experiences were shared here, but legendary slumber parties were also held here. The rooms were transformed into party zones, where stories were told and bonds were strengthened.
Two teams emerged on the slopes: team stunts and team blue, consisting of experienced skiers who conquered the descents with elegance and, oh yes, not to forget, team beginners. However, it turned out that team stunts, with their daring stunts, sometimes had the upper hand. The AC, a true daredevil, caused hilarity with his overconfident stunts on skis. Despite this overconfidence, the well-known banana did not have to take action.
Our chairman, who quickly dared to make the switch from team blue to team stunts, the ruler of the red slopes, put his own twist on the concept of 'somersaults' and became a legend on the slopes. His determination and fearless approach added an extra dose of spectacle to the descents.
During lunches on the slopes, the atmosphere was not only brightened by hearty meals, but also by the remarkable phenomenon that developed around the choice of drink. While the sun was high in the sky and the members enjoyed lavish meals, bottles of rosé were chosen surprisingly often. The cheerful, summery atmosphere of the rosé seemed to perfectly match the exuberance of the group.
Tobogganing became an adventure in itself, especially for those who couldn't find the brake. The toboggan experience quickly became a source of jokes, with participants encouraging each other to make the descent even faster. The toboggan run transformed into a smiling roller coaster of winter fun. Some ESV members enjoyed some well-deserved snow and ice on their faces on the last meters of the toboggan run.
In addition to the adrenaline rush on the toboggan run, the atmosphere also changed during the games evening. The spotless shelters became the stage for super fun and fanatical games. Members competed against each other in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and competition. Card games, cup games and creative challenges made for a vibrant evening full of laughter and strategic thinking.
In the Yeti bar, the heart of the Après-ski, there was not only dancing and laughter, but cameras were also brought along by enthusiastic members. As a result, every culture, every smile, and every moment was captured on camera. The Yeti bar not only became the scene of Après-ski, but also of Après Après-ski, where the atmosphere became even more exuberant. The rosé trend was not only limited to the slopes, but also found its way to Après-ski. What started as an unconventional lunchtime choice became a true tradition at Yeti. Bottles of rosé flowed down the throats of many ESV members.
A number of beginners in the group ventured onto the slopes, sometimes sliding rather than skiing. It was heartwarming to see how, despite the awkward falls, they came back with a smile and celebrated their victories. At the same time, a different kind of challenge arose on the way to the wonderful king-size beds. Slippery paths after a night out led to comical falls, with members laughing as they maneuvered their way to their beds.
Whether on the slopes, during the bus trip, in the ski huts or in the Yeti bar, the ESV winter sports trip to Risoul is a memory that will last forever. The combination of adventure, fun and a touch of French flair made it an unforgettable trip for the ESV books.
